I was once asked a simple question “who are you?” ” who am I?” This is a question Every one wants to answer to the best. I am this and that and someone’s this and some one else’s that! A matter of fact.. just a manner to feed your “I”(ego).
Let me share a story..
There was a potter in a small village. He had a donkey. The potter would create earthen ware, load it on the donkeys back and go and sell it in the market. One day, the potter decided to make statues of the goddess. He made beautiful statues and loaded it on the donkeys back. As he was going to the market, the people on the way started bowing to the donkey. The donkey was initially puzzled, but within no time, it started enjoying the attention it got. He straightened it’s back.. looked up in the sky and started walking tall thinking “Finally, the people have started giving me respect. I am great and will always be.”

Days passed and one day, the donkey was strolling on the road. No one noticed him anf so he started braying loudly. Irritated by the noise the people around started throwing stones at him.

Now, if we relate the parable, the “I” is the donkey. The people are the world around you. The statue is the energy that one carries.
As long as one realises that we are just a carrier of the abilities, we are a medium to the good things we can give the world, the ego does nt arise at all.
Once we start feeding our mind that its us that the people are bowing to, it isn’t far that there will be a day when the ego will have to bring a downfall .

It’s important for anyone to understand and realise this simple truth. I am not the body, I am not even my mind. I am a source of infinite positive energy. I am a medium to light up the world and the world bows to this light within me.
With this realisation is when the “I” completely vanishes. Realise, rise and shine!

Those who claim to know the limits of the infinite beyond..

Shall never be able to taste the nectar of darkness of the unknown..

For what One knows is the delusion of a knowledgeable mind…

And wisdom lies in the limitless beyond what One seeks to find! Come risk seek and shine..

For in you is the limitless possibility..

The darkness to be discovered..

The light to shine!

Be breathe better yourself… for there lies in You all that you seek for!

  1. Hi Priya, The term EGO means different things to different people, but when I use it here it means a false self, created by unconscious identification with the mind.
To the ego, the present moment hardly exists. Only past and future are considered important. This total reversal of the truth accounts for the fact that in the ego mode the mind is so dysfunctional. It is always concerned with keeping the past alive, because without it -who are you? It constantly projects itself into the future to ensure its continued survival and to seek some kind of release or fulfillment there. It says: One day, when this, that, or the other happens, I am going to be okay, happy, at peace.
Even when the ego seems to be concerned with the present, it is not the present that it sees: It misperceives it completely because it looks at it through the eyes of the past. Or it reduces the present to a means to an end, an end that always lies in the mind-projected future.
Ego is the unobserved mind that runs your life when you are not present as the witnessing consciousness, the watcher. The ego perceives itself as a separate fragment in a hostile universe, with no real inner connection to any other being, surrounded by other egos which it either sees as a potential threat or which it will attempt to use for its own ends. The basic ego patterns are designed to combat its own deep-seated fear and sense of lack. They are resistance, control, power, greed, defense, attack. Some of the ego is strategies are extremely clever, yet they never truly solve any of its problems, simply because the ego itself is the problem.
Whenever two or more egos come together, drama of one kind or another ensues. But even if you live totally alone, you still create your own drama. When you feel sorry for yourself, that is drama. When you feel guilty or anxious, that is drama. When you let the past or future obscure the present, you are creating time, psychological time – the stuff out of which drama is made. Whenever you are not honoring the present moment by allowing it to be, you are creating drama.

  2. No matter how happy people may be with their life, ego may find its way in. Sometimes ego is so hard to control because people do not know how to go about fixing their ego. In the following article, you have rightly said. Keep writing.
